Spring Wardrobe Must Haves 2022
With Spring only a few weeks away, I can’t help but browse my favorite websites to find items that will complete my Spring wardrobe. If you don’t know Spring is usually when I do a major wardrobe overhaul. And since I will be giving birth in February that means that I will be shopping for a new postpartum wardrobe.
And because you are reading this blog post, you are probably going to be building up your Spring wardrobe as well. Before we get into the essentials here are a few things to consider before shopping for your Spring wardrobe.
How To Build a Spring Wardrobe
Step 1. Analyze Your Lifestyle
If you haven’t already, I recommend that you analyze your lifestyle first. Analyzing your life is where you simply get an Idea of what you do on a daily basis and ensure that you are purchasing clothing items that are functional for that. I find that many are building their wardrobe with clothes that aren’t functional for their daily tasks such as work, the gym etc.
For example, at the moment my lifestyle consists of working from home, taking my daughter to school and I’m a stay-at-home mom to a newborn.
Step 2. Create Style Goals
Style goals should align with your personal goals. For example, I will be entering into the postpartum period in Spring. And one of my goals is to take the time to put myself together. And with a newborn I know how exhausting that can be. Because I know where I am on a day today basis using the analyze your lifestyle method. Combined with my personal goal which is to take the time to put myself together, this means that I should probably shop for clothing items that don't require much effort.
Step 3. Audit Your Closet
Now that you’ve analyzed your lifestyle, created your style goals it’s time to audit your closet. Instead of doing a seasonal closet cleanse first. You want to see what’s in your closet. Doesn’t it align with your goals, does it fit your spring style etc. You can also simply audit your outfits as well. This will help you figure out how to improve your closet and the way you put outfits together.

Basic Spring Tops For Women
The spring basics are not the same boring khaki, stripes basics. I think there is a huge difference between your core basics and your seasonal basics. And I also think the products that I include in this post will be more reflective of my personal style and wardrobe needs. Which is why I listed out the steps above for you.

Oversized Flannels- I am so happy that flannels are back in style. Normally I purchase my flannels from the men section at the thrift store. But, it’s either a hit or miss when it comes to thrifting.

Lime Green Crop Top- This lime green crop top is the perfect statement piece to add to your existing wardrobe. There is also a pair of matching shorts that goes with them. But of course if they are sold out, you can always pair these with a pair of high waisted jeans or mid-rise jeans.

Cheetah Print Midi Skirt- a printed midi skirt is a must have, especially if your wardrobe is lacking prints and colors. Because it will still be cold outside, I recommend styling this with an oversized sweater and ankle boots.

Slug Platform Boots- I have had my eye on the Steve Madden slug platform boots for awhile. However I recently came across a dupe pair on Amazon and I instantly fell in love. I love that they have a low heel, making it easy and comfortable to walk in all day.
